Know what I hate? Copycats: People who don't have their own taste in anything, whether it's clothes, music, or anything else.

One minute said copycat states their opinion on something, and then as soon as you disagree they turn around and swear they've always loved or hated whatever you're talking about. Or if they see you wearing something cute, they'll go out and buy the exact same thing, or something creepily similar, that you can be sure they would never have bought if they hadn't seen you with it first.

Don't let 'em get away with it. Don't let people with no individuality steal your opinions.

STAND OUT

We are strong believers that everyone should have their own personal style. Like Coco Chanel once said, "The only way to be irresistible, is to be different." It’s great to get inspiration from other people’s ideas, but to completely duplicate their style pr personality.

We opt that you all develop your own personal style and personality, adding in inspiration from anyone like a major fashion label, a friend, or even someone you see on the street! But make sure to add your own twists to things also!

Secondhand Love!

So a while ago I went thrifting on Magazine St. in New Orleans. Deffinitely one of my favorite places to shop, besides urban outfitters of course. I absolutely loved it and I'm dying to go back. They've got all kinds of cute little vintage and consignment shops, plus more upscale boutiques, an American Apparel, and some cafés that had the most delicious aromas wafting out of them. My favorite stores were definitely Funky Monkey and Buffalo Exchange.

From Buffalo Exchange, a chain store that buys and sells new, used, and vintage clothing, I got a studded belt, a long cream-colored tunic with crochet detail at the top, and a striped green tank.I almost couldn't pull myself away from all the adorable necklaces.

From Funky Monkey...which is this little vintage/second-hand shop that sells shoes, accessories, clothes, and costumes...I got a plaid shirt dress and a blue snakeskin belt. They also had tons of amazing necklaces, brooches, sunglasses, purses, and boots. I can't wait to go back to both of these stores and find more awesome places like these!

I like vintage clothes, Tiffany’s, Polaroid cameras, umbrellas, New York City, and coffee. My hobbies would be reading until all hours of the night, listening to music until I have a headache, and playing in the rain. My favorite author is Jane Austen and, as of today, my favorite movie is (500) Days of Summer.

My greatest accomplishment is riding in a hot air balloon. But someday, I’m going to travel the world.

My favorite movies are Pride and; Prejudice, Atonement, Little Rascals, and 500 Days of Summer, and I'm hoping to add Where the Wild Things Are to that list to soon. :)
